Procter & Gamble:

Families, individuals and first responders in need of personal care items, cleaning products or laundry services in the wake of the recent historic flooding in West Virginia.

Beginning Tuesday, June 28th the Tide Loads of Hope mobile laundry unit will be providing free full-service laundry to residents in West Virginia affected by the recent flooding. Residents can bring clothes to the mobile unit to be washed, dried and folded free of charge for those in the directly affected areas. All washable clothing types can be accepted with the exception of heavy bedding. In addition, P&G will be providing personal care kits containing items such as Secret deodorant, Crest toothpaste and Pantene shampoo as well as household cleaning products like Bounty, Mr. Clean and Swiffer.

Heavy rain led to widespread flooding which has devastated areas of West Virginia resulting in the governor declaring a state of emergency in 44 counties. Many residents have been forced from their homes, leaving them without basic needs and resources. P&G has a history of giving back to the communities where we live and work, and we wanted to provide some everyday essentials to those who need it most. These services are free and available to people affected by the disaster and the volunteers that are helping to respond.

Tide Loads of Hope and the P&G product distribution program is planning to visit multiple areas affected by the floods. The program will initially be located at:
Elkview Middle School
5090 Elk River Rd N
Elkview, WV 25071

Outfitted with 12 new high-efficiency Whirlpool Duet washers and dryers (six of each), this new truck can do up to 100 loads of laundry per day, enabling Tide to help hundreds of families during each disaster relief visit.
